The painted cloth is then washed to remove the wax, and washed
again, to permanantly fix the dye, in a "gel bath".
For
non-pattern cloth, no wax is applied before dying.
For
multiple color batiks, this process is repeated for each color.

scarves and napkins.

of these repeated washings, shrinkage does not occur in our
products.
